It's not a nice thing to think about, but another reason a lot of the AGOC (American Girls of Color) might not sell as fast or be as popular is that a lot of people of color can't afford to pay for a doll like Addy. I mean, I wanted her since the day she came out, and I just got her last Christmas. It might be the same for other little girls. Also, unfortunately some parents might be prejudiced and not want to get their white daughter a black or Hispanic or Native doll. It's not a nice thing to think about, but it does happen.
Samantha, on the other hand, is rich and pretty and has a lot of stuff. She's also in an era that is looked on pretty romantically. so I can see why she'd be super popular. She's not my kind of girl, though.
